We process personal data only for lawful purposes and in accordance with applicable law. Where processing is based on your consent, we will seek consent through an appropriate notice or user action. You may withdraw consent using available settings or by contacting us, subject to processing that may continue where permitted or required by law.
If you withdraw consent, this will not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal. Some information may still be retained where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or other purposes permitted by law.
6. Candidate profile visibility and employer access
Candidate information is not intended to be openly exposed to the public internet by default. Depending on your settings and Platform features, eligible employers may receive or view candidate information when:
- you apply to that employer's job;
- you choose to make your profile discoverable to eligible employers; or
- a Rozgaary talent-search feature permits authorised employer access consistent with your settings and Platform rules.
Employers may receive information necessary to evaluate and manage an application, such as your profile, resume/CV, screening answers and application information. Identity documents such as Aadhaar/PAN are not intended to be publicly displayed and should only be accessible or shared for a clearly disclosed, legitimate verification or recruitment purpose, subject to appropriate controls and applicable law.
Once an employer lawfully receives candidate information for its own recruitment process, the employer may act as an independent controller/data fiduciary for that information. Rozgaary does not control an employer's independent use of information outside the Platform. Employers are expected to handle candidate information lawfully and in accordance with Rozgaary's rules.
7. Aadhaar, PAN and identity documents
Identity documents require additional care. Rozgaary may collect or facilitate the upload of PAN, Aadhaar-related information or other identity documents only where reasonably necessary for a stated verification or recruitment purpose.
- Such documents will not be displayed publicly.
- Access will be limited to authorised personnel, service providers or employers where the purpose and access are clearly disclosed and permitted.
- Where Aadhaar is used for identity verification, Rozgaary will seek any consent required by applicable law and follow applicable UIDAI requirements. Where required, a viable alternative method of identification should be available.
- Users should not upload identity documents unless the relevant Rozgaary flow specifically requests them.
8. When we share personal data
We do not sell personal data to data brokers. We may share personal data only where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including with:
- Employers and candidates, as necessary for applications, recruitment workflows, interviews and related communications.
- Technology and service providers that support hosting, databases, storage, authentication, analytics, maps/geocoding, email delivery, monitoring, security and other Platform functions.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants and auditors where reasonably necessary and subject to confidentiality obligations.
- Government authorities, regulators or law-enforcement agencies where disclosure is required by applicable law or valid legal process, or is reasonably necessary to protect users, rights, safety or the Platform.
- Parties involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring or transfer of the Platform or business, subject to applicable safeguards.
9. Third-party service providers
Rozgaary currently uses or expects to use third-party infrastructure and tools including Supabase, Vercel, Google Authentication, Google Analytics, maps/geocoding services and an email delivery provider. These providers may process limited personal data on our behalf or, in some cases, under their own terms and privacy policies.
We may add, replace or remove service providers as the Platform evolves. We seek to limit the information shared with service providers to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant service.
10. Marketing and communications
Rozgaary may send service-related communications such as account notices, application updates, interview information, security notices and support messages. These are different from promotional communications.
We may also send promotional or marketing emails or messages about Rozgaary, hiring opportunities, platform features or related services where permitted by law. You can opt out of promotional communications using an unsubscribe link, account preference (where available) or by contacting hello@theglacian.com. Opting out of marketing will not stop essential service or security communications.
11. Cookies, analytics and similar technologies
Rozgaary may use cookies, local storage, analytics tags and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, protect accounts, understand usage and improve the Platform. Google Analytics may be used to understand aggregated or pseudonymous usage and performance information.
Where consent is required for non-essential cookies or analytics, Rozgaary will provide an appropriate consent or preference mechanism. You can also control cookies through your browser, although blocking essential cookies may affect Platform functionality. For more details, please see our Cookie Policy.
12. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for the period required by applicable law, or for legitimate security, anti-fraud, dispute-resolution and record-keeping purposes permitted by law.
- Candidate profiles and account information may be retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period after closure where necessary for permitted purposes.
- Applications and job records may remain available as historical records after a job closes, subject to applicable retention procedures and deletion rights.
- Employer verification/KYC evidence may be retained for the verification lifecycle and a reasonable compliance, fraud-prevention or dispute period.
- Identity documents will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose or as required by applicable law.
- Security, support and audit records may be retained for a reasonable period to investigate misuse, protect users and meet legal obligations.
- Backup copies may remain for a limited period after deletion until normal backup cycles overwrite them.
When personal data is no longer required, we will delete, anonymise or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with our retention procedures and applicable law.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the Platform and the information we process. These may include access controls, restricted administrative permissions, secure authentication, encryption in transit, private file storage, logging and monitoring, backups, file-type controls and security scanning.
No website, database or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should protect their accounts and report suspected unauthorised access promptly.
14. Your privacy rights and choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable verification of your request, you may have the right to:
- request information about the personal data Rozgaary processes about you and how it is used;
- correct, complete or update inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- request erasure of personal data where the applicable requirements are met;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- raise a grievance about our handling of your personal data;
- nominate another individual to exercise applicable rights in circumstances recognised by law; and
- manage available profile visibility, communication and location preferences.
You may exercise available rights through the Platform or by contacting hello@theglacian.com. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity and account before acting on a request. We aim to respond within 30 days where reasonably possible and, in any event, within the period required by applicable law.
15. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your Rozgaary account using the account-deletion option inside your dashboard or by emailing hello@theglacian.com. After we verify the request, we will apply our deletion and retention process.
Some information may not be deleted immediately where retention is required or permitted for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backups or audit purposes. Account deletion also does not necessarily delete copies of information that an employer lawfully received before deletion, such as an application or resume already provided to that employer.
16. Age requirement
Rozgaary accounts are intended for users aged 18 years or older. We do not knowingly permit individuals under 18 to create candidate or employer accounts. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may restrict or close the account and take reasonable steps to delete associated personal data, subject to applicable law.
17. Personal data breaches
If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will take reasonable steps to contain, investigate and remediate the incident. Where applicable law requires notification to affected individuals or a competent authority, we will provide the required notice and information within the legally applicable timeframe.
18. International processing and data transfers
Some service providers used by Rozgaary may process or store information on infrastructure outside India. Where personal data is transferred or made available outside India, we will take steps required by applicable Indian law and comply with any restrictions or conditions imposed by competent authorities.
19. Third-party websites and employer interactions
The Platform may contain links to employer websites, maps, social platforms or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Rozgaary is not responsible for how an independent third party handles information after you leave the Platform or choose to interact with that third party directly.
20. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Rozgaary features, data practices, service providers or applicable laws change. The updated version will display a revised effective date. Where a change materially affects how personal data is processed, we will provide additional notice or seek fresh consent where required by law.
